Richard Miller explores the richly expressive sounds of the nylon string guitar with a repertoire that includes Classical guitar, Brazilian and Latin American styles, and American jazz. Miller earned a Ph.D. in music theory from the Catholic University of America and a Master of Music degree in guitar performance from the Manhattan School of Music. He taught theory and guitar at Georgetown University and Columbia University, and published his book The Guitar in the Brazilian Choro in 2014.
