A bilingual (Spanish/English) play about an immigrant community in crisis and a family's fight for a home.
Revitalized.
Death has arrived for America and her undocumented mother – Esmeralda. But it’s not their souls she’s come to collect, it’s their home. After Esmeralda’s packaging plant closes, and long-time neighbor Don Cande loses his home, could America and Esmeralda be next? America proposes to fight back, but local radio station, El Corralito 1330, continues to sound the alarm on intensifying immigration enforcement, stirring Esmeralda’s fears. As the window for staying home narrows, America and Esmeralda must decide if fighting Death and her imposing economic forces is worth the risk.
