Kristalis Sotomayor is a Puerto Rican flutist that started learning the flute when she was four-years-old, guided by her father. When she was six years old she began more in depth study at the Escuela Libre de Música de Puerto Rico. At ten-years-old, she won a competition to play as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Puerto Rico playing Concerto No.2 for Flute by Mozart.
