Los Rolling Ruanas were formed in 2014 with Juan Diego Moreno, Fer Cely, Luis Guillermo González and Jorge Mario Vinasco. After some time of experimentation, they decide to upload singular covers of The Beatles, Kiss and The Rolling Stones to YouTube, without thinking that they would become a viral phenomenon at the end of 2015. This would serve as a platform for the band to make their first EP of original songs in 2016 and later release their first full-length titled 'La Balada del Carranguero' in 2017, collaborating with artists such as Catalina García de Monsieur Periné and Edson Velandia.
