"El cuento no es el cuento, el cuento es quien lo cuenta”. Solo dos actores, con toda su fuerza interpretativa, se apoderan del escenario para personificar a los seis miembros de la familia Morrison en la más celebrada obra teatral del Puerto Rico contemporáneo, Quíntuples. La obra del gran escritor y dramaturgo Luis Rafael Sánchez, que originalmente se estrenó en 1984, regresó a los escenarios de la mano del veterano actor Joaquín Jarque y la talentosa actriz Gretza Merced. En sus monólogos, cada uno de los personajes revela las intimidades de una familia disfuncional, con la que muchos pueden identificarse. Quíntuples es, sin duda, una de esas joyas de la literatura puertorriqueña para disfrutarse, al menos, una vez en la vida.

With all their interpretative strength, just two actors take control of the stage to embody the six members of the Morrison family in the most celebrated theatrical work of contemporary Puerto Rico, "Quíntuples." The play by the great writer and playwright Luis Rafael Sánchez, originally premiered in 1984, returned to the stage with the veteran actor Joaquín Jarque and the talented actress Gretza Merced. In their monologues, each character reveals the intimacies of a dysfunctional family, with which many can identify. "Quíntuples" is undoubtedly one of those gems of Puerto Rican literature to be enjoyed at least once in a lifetime.
