Felix Martin, a Venezuelan guitarist based in Los Angeles, California, and his band play a versatile style that uniquely blends eclectic metal with Latin music and jazz fusion.
Martin grew up in Venezuela and then moved to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music. After graduating on a scholarship, he was signed by Prosthetic Records and started touring the world with his band.
They hit the road and played shows with well-known acts, including Sons of Apollo, Marty Friedman, and Tony MacAlpine, while touring in the US, Europe, Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, and China. The band also performed on the festival circuit, including Progressive Nation at Sea, SXSW, Euroblast Festival for Progressive Music in Germany, Baja Prog in Mexico, and UK Tech-Fest, among many others.
Over the years, Martin has been featured in various publications and media around the world, including LA Weekly, Revolver, Billboard, Guitar World, Premier Guitar, Vintage Guitar, Blabbermouth, and CBS News Radio, to name just a few.
He performs with self-designed 12-, 14-, and 16-string guitars, which consist of two guitars joined into one. His guitar company, FM Guitars, is on its way to having 100 players within just a few months of release.
