Five members of Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music’s brass faculty come together to present the world premiere of a work by Alice Gomez in this Solo(s) Together performance. Gomez draws from her heritage in her previous works for brass ensemble, composing works inspired by contemporary and traditional Mexican culture, and by the indigenous instruments of the Aztec and Maya peoples in Fanfare for the Forgotten Empire. She’ll work with the members of the Faculty Brass Quintet to create an ensemble work with opportunities for each player to take their turn in the spotlight.
