This workshop series, led by Mestra Isaura Oliveira with other guest artists, will teach the dance, chants, and rhythms of Samba da Bahia. Participants can expect to learn about and experience Bahian cultural history and its liberation movement in community. The workshops will culminate in a collaborative Joy of Resistance Showcase for the public on Saturday, June 29, 2024 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
