Join for a Flamenco performance followed by a short, accessible dance class! Flamenco is an energetic and expressive Spanish dance form, with unique rhythm and movements. With roots traced to Andalusia, Flamenco combines singing, guitar playing, dance, vocalizations, and percussion with instruments (e.g., castanets, cajon), or palmas (hand clapping), pitos (finger snapping), and golpe (knocking on surfaces or the body).
Flamenco for Life is headed by Yosi Karahashi, a highly motivated and progress-focused Flamenco teacher, dancer, and choreographer trained at the legendary Flamenco school Amor de Dios in Madrid, Spain.
This program is for all ages.
